Treasure Island: Tools Lab (June 24)

  • Treasure Island Workshop 800 Avenue H San Francisco, CA 94130 United States (map)

Tool Lab (Open Studio for Practice and Projects)

Prerequisites: Demonstrated proficiency with tools from Intro to Tools and Tools II

Tools Lab is an open-format studio time for builders who are ready to practice, experiment, or work on personal projects. Whether you're refining a technique, testing out new tools, or building something of your own, this session gives you access to the shared workshop and instructor support when you need it. This is a great opportunity to gain confidence, explore new skills, and take the next step in your woodworking journey.

Please note, if you are working on your own project, you will need to bring wood with you for your project. If you are just practicing the skills you have learned, we have scrap wood for you to use.

This workshop takes place at our Treasure Island Workshop.

Accessibility

Are you in a wheel chair? There is wheel chair access in the building, however not all of the tools are accessible or set up to be operated safely by someone in a wheel chair. Some modifications in the shop can be made if we know in advance that you are coming.

Do you have a low scent tolerance? We ask that our participants refrain from using extreme scents, though cannot guarantee the workshop space will be scent free. Please know that sawdust is present in the shop and we have masks available upon request.

Do you use ASL? We currently don’t have translation available, and would love to work with you about how you can access our workshops.
