Dykes With Drills teamed up with Map Box to create a beautiful light installation in their office. Each person worked on at least one, if not two letters, to complete this beautiful message, that is much needed in these times. Thanks to everyone at Map Box who joined for this project.
Dykes With Drills teamed up with Levi’s, Bay Area Derby and Skate Like a Girl to build out the second installment of an indoor skate park in Oakland, Ca. This was our biggest corporate event to date and was tons of fun!

Dykes With Drills teamed up with Bay Area Derby and Skate Like a Girl to build out the second installment of an indoor skate park in Oakland, Ca. This was our biggest volunteer event to date and was tons of fun!
Thanks to everyone who came out, our build leads and our volunteers. At Dykes With Drills we are all about creating equity in the trades. It was awesome to see so many women, trans and gender non conforming folks, as well as having support from our male allies!
Our first large scale community project was building a skate ramp at Playland Skate Park in San Francisco. We brought awareness of the plan to close the park to put in teacher housing to the neighborhood.
We had two weekend builds and ended the project with a Best Trick Skate Contest. Everyone was included - parents, kids, friends and family. That build marked the beginning of Dykes With Drills. It was something that couldn’t have been accomplished without the help of everyone.
